Minimum wages in 2019: Annual Review.This report covers developments in statutory minimum wages in 2018–2019 in the EU and Norway. It looks at the level of minimum wages, how they were set and how they have developed over time in nominal and real terms. It also covers major debates in relation to setting minimum wage levels.

Drugs policy: medicinal cannabis.The Health Select Committee has just published their report as part of the medicinal cannabis inquiry, seeking evidence on the usage of medicinal cannabis products.

Modern methods of construction. “The Government has set an ambitious target to build 300,000 homes annually by the mid-2020s but constraints such as the shortage of skilled workers mean it cannot meet that target using traditional building methods alone. This inquiry focused on the benefits of using modern methods of construction (MMC) to build homes and the barriers that prevent greater take-up. It sought to address those barriers and make recommendations that will help the industry to overcome them.”

Policing in the UK. “This briefing is designed to provide a ‘beginners guide’ to policing policy in the UK. It discusses the key legislation for the governance of police services, how police forces work, including when they work together and how they organise their staff, and how they are overseen.”

Population estimates for the UK, England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland: mid-2018. “National and subnational mid-year population estimates for the UK and its constituent countries by administrative area, age, sex and components of population change.”
