This afternoon marks the final day of graduations for the class of 2017. Today’s ceremony will be taking place at our Dumfries Campus, where students from the School of Interdisciplinary Studies will be receiving their degrees. Congratulations to all of the graduates!
We’ve been looking back in time and sharing the stories of graduates from 100 years ago, who graduated during a time dominated by the First World War. We told the stories of students such as Thomas Walter Manson and William Harold Palmer, who fought in the war and went on to forge successful careers in academia and medicine. We’ve also looked at other accomplished figures, such as the leading speech therapist Anne McAllister and the engineer Ganesh Dass Bazaz.
If you’d like to find out more about previous graduates, have a look at our University Story website, which is the authoritative resource on the people and events that have shaped our University since foundation in 1451. If you have any photographs or information about Glasgow alumni featured on the site, please let us know so we can continue to build the story. Contact us at Libraryfirstname.lastname@example.org
Good luck to our graduates!
