We’re delighted to announce the opening of two brand new floors in the University Library. Doors to levels 1 and 2 opened at 10am this morning and as you can see from these pics, students are settling happily in to their new space.
Level 1, which was previously a closed basement storage area, has been transformed in to a fabulous study space filled with 154 individual study desks. The area is complemented by enhanced power and network ports, individual task lighting and wi-fi throughout.
Level 2 has also been fully refurbished as a flexible study and self-service space, boasting fabulous new furniture, in excess of 245 study spaces for both individual and group study, and self-service machines for checking your books in and out.
Staff at the Welcome Desk, close to the entrance, will point you in the right direction and you’ll also find staff available to help, close to the self-service area.
Please note that you now need to swipe your card to enter AND exit through the turnstiles, so remember to keep it handy.
We really hope you like your new space – tell us what you think about it, and remember to share your pictures with us on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook @uofglibrary
