The Maps, Official Publications and Statistics Unit has a wide-format scanner and pigment inkjet printer which enables us to reproduce various types of original maps, artwork, plans or posters to professional standards. Orders submitted by midday will be ready for collection from 2 pm the next working day. Orders submitted after midday will be ready from 2 pm two working days later.

We can print posters on 260 g/m2 satin finish paper which is ideal for presentations, conferences and displays. Map and artwork reproductions can be printed on our 180 g/m2 smartmatt paper. Other types of media, including standard paper and artist grade canvas, are available on request. Most file formats are supported (PowerPoint, PDF, Illustrator, etc).

We can print the full A paper series which is most commonly used in the United Kingdom and the EU. We can also print the full B paper series which is most commonly used in the United States and Canada. Non-standard poster sizes can also be supplied. Please contact the department to find out more.

Our wide format sheet-feed scanner can take original artwork, plans and drawings should you need existing material reproduced.

You can find full details on our new reproduction service web page. Please note that due to the increased cost of consumables we have adjusted our prices.

If you have any questions feel free to visit the department in person on level 7 of the library between 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday, or contact us by phone, post or email.
