Pop Up Study Spaces & Desk Hogging in the Library

We know the Library is really busy during revision and exam time, so we’ve teamed up with the SRC to try and ease the situation.  As well as providing priority access to Universty of Glasgow students, throughout the exam period, we’ve opened up additional space for study.

Quiet pop up study space is available in the Level 7 MacKenna room, and Level 9 Committee room which are usually reserved for teaching, events, and staff meetings.  Follow signs on Levels 7 and 9 for directions to the rooms and look out for posters on the door.

This rooms are available during Library opening hours (7:15am-2am) from now until 18th December (except the MacKenna room which is NOT available on the morning of 2nd December). The SRC have information about other ‘Pop Up Study’ space on campus, coming to their website soon: www.glasgowstudent.net

What can you do to help?  Don’t leave your belongings on desks & computers, for prolonged periods of time, to reserve a space for later.  You need to leave your desk at times – to find a book, take a break, grab a quick snack in the cafe – and that’s fine. All we’re asking is, please be nice to your fellow students and don’t hog a space if you’re not actually using it!
