The Art and Architecture Archive has recently been purchased by the Library and will be an important resource for researchers and students working in the art and architecture disciplines.

This important archive of 26 key journals offers full-text access to many of the foremost art and architecture magazines of the twentieth century covering fine art, decorative arts, architecture, interior design, industrial design, and photography.

The journals are scanned from cover-to-cover and are presented as full-colour page images. As well as allowing access to the journal content, it is possible to copy and save images, and to limit searches to specific document types, such as advertisements, building plans or illustrations. Coverage dates vary by individual journal title, but typically includes the first late-nineteenth century issues through to 2005

We are particularly pleased to have access to Country Life (1901-2005), Country Life Illustrated (1897-1901) and the British Journal of Photography (1875-2005).

You can access the Art and Architecture Archive from the database link on the Library Home Page . It is available to all students and staff on and off campus using your GUID.
