The Conservatives, Labour and the Liberal Democrats have published their plans on the powers to be given to Scotland in a Command Paper this afternoon.

Secretary of State for Scotland Alistair Carmichael will make a statement later on today with regards to Scotland within the UK.

The Smith Commission, chaired by Lord Smith of Kelvin, is currently working to create a “unifying set of proposals” with regard to strengthening the powers of the Scottish Parliament within the UK. Its remit is to convene cross-party talks on the further devolution of powers to the Scottish Parliament. Draft clauses will be published by the 25th January.
