Thanks to our latest electronic resource subscription, Oxford Handbooks Online, we now have around 300 additional ebooks across a number of arts and social science subject areas available.
Oxford Handbooks have long been regarded as of great value for research (we have lots of print titles in stock too), so we hope the electronic versions will be of value to our staff and students.
You can access the titles either through:
1. searching for the particular handbook title on quicksearch
2. accessing the relevant Oxford Handbooks Online subject suite through databases A-Z
Using the 2nd option will allow you to browse a listing of the articles included in all the relevant titles in a subject suite, and to search across the full text of the publications.
The subject suites are:
Archaeology, Business and Management, Classical Studies, Criminology and Criminal Justice, Economics and Finance, History, Law, Linguistics, Literature, Music, Philosophy, Political Science, and Religion.
When you have found an article you are interested in, you can read it online, download a pdf, or print a copy (in line with the terms of our licence.) You will need your GUID to log-in to access Oxford Handbooks Online; members of the University library who do not have a GUID can obtain access through the Welcome Desk on level 2 of the library.
