My book has been recalled, what does this mean?

You might get an email from the Library telling you to bring back a book earlier than you expected. This is because your book has been recalled by another library member who needs to use it, and you must return it by this new, earlier due date.

This essential policy is in place to ensure that all library users have a fair chance of getting the books they need. It might seem like an inconvenience to have one of your books recalled, but remember this is a service that you can also use when you really need to get your hands on a book.

Please remember that fines apply for the late return of recalled books so remember get the book back on time.

You don’t need to wait for an email to find out if your books have been recalled, you can also check your library account by selecting ‘Library Account’ from the Library web page.
