Observing the 80s

The Mass Observation Archive, the British Library Oral History Collections and the University of Sussex Library have recently launched a new digital resource – Observing the 80s.

Offering digitised oral histories, responses to the Mass Observation directives, and ephemera Observing the 80s provides an insight into individuals’ experiences and opinions in Britain across the decade.  The resources cover topics such as the Falklands War, the Poll Tax and the Miners’ Strike.  I particularly like the infographics which lead you into some of the subjects covered.

Observing the 80s is an open resource, so you can access it without needing any log-in.
