Since Halloween is almost upon us, I thought I’d share this photograph I came across in our Coats PLC collection:
Can you spot what looks like a rather ghostly apparition at the bottom left hand side?!
J & P Coats and Clark & Co (whom Coats eventually acquired) had a huge impact on the landscape of Paisley, with the Anchor Mills (now residential property), Ferguslie Mills (now the Paisley Thread Museum), the observatory, and the town hall still vital landmarks.
We have recently listed several additions to the Coats collection, which will be added to our online catalogue within the next few months. In the meantime, you can consult our existing catalogue, or contact us.
Happy Halloween!
