Entertainment Industry Magazine Archive (EIMA) is an exciting new database that the Library has recently subscribed to. It’s a key new resource for staff and students studying film, broadcasting, popular music and theatre. EIMA includes the full text of key trade and consumer magazines within the entertainment industry covering the period 1880 to 2000. Titles covered include Back Stage, Variety, Melody Maker, New Musical Express, Picturegoer and The Stage. Individual issues can be browsed in full page format, while the search facility offers the ability to look for reviews, industry news, interviews, charts and other features. EIMA is a primary source database offering exciting new opportunities for scholars in this area.
You can access Entertainment Industry Magazine Archive via the Databases link on the Library home page or via Quick Search. It’s available both on and off campus.
