A sensory audit is being carried out in the Library this week. You may see people around the building with various devices for recording light and noise levels.
Sensory audits are used in education and in workplaces to assess work environments. They look at things like levels of artificial and natural light, patterns in decoration, acoustics and soundproofing, smells, types of furniture and noise levels. We will use the results from the survey when planning future developments in the building.
