I’m sorry Katie, here’s a quick work around that I’ve tried out that does seem to work.
If you know the name of the database you want to search you could put the name of it into the Title field on COPAC (linked to in the post above) and then select ‘Glasgow University’ from the ‘Library’ list in the ‘Narrow options’ lower part of the COPAC search page. You can then click on the name of the database from the results field and it will show you a weblink to click on to reach the log-in page for that database. For Web of Knowledge, for example, this is http://wok.mimas.ac.uk/cgi-bin/wayf?idp=gla.ac.uk
I’ve also tried this for SCOPUS and it led me to the log in page at http://www.scopus.com/home.url
I am sorry for the inconvenience but the maintenance is for less than 24hrs and will result in a better service. You should be able to access everything as normal around midday tomorrow.
This is infuriating. How am I supposed to get to a list of databases and link from there to what I need?
