The next Friends of Glasgow University Library event is a visit on Wednesday 16th May, starting at 6pm, to the University’s new Centre for Textile Conservation and Technical Art History, in the Robertson Building, level 3, 89 Dumbarton Road (near the entrance to the Western Infirmary.)
This is the only such Centre in Britain and works closely with the Library & Archives. It was officially opened last year by The Princess Royal who is Patron of the Textile Conservation Centre Foundation. Visitors will hear of the scope of the Centre and see at first hand some of the techniques used in its work and studies. All welcome.
