Our collection of Alasdair Gray’s handwritten drafts and original artwork for his novel ‘Lanark’ appear in a new online slideshow celebrating the 30th anniversary of its publication in February 1981. Filmed by the BBC, it features commentary by Gray talking about the influence of Glasgow in the book’s creation, described as ‘one of the greatest Scottish novels ever written’.
