After the recent Springer e-book trial, the library can announce the purchase of all English language Springer e-book collections, covering years 2005-2011 inclusive. The means we will have access to over 24,000 Springer e-books by the end of 2011.
The content covers subjects including (but not limited to) Medicine, Biomedical and Life Sciences, Computing Science, Physics, Chemistry, Business and Economics, Humanities, Social Sciences and Law.
The e-books are cross searchable with the journal content that we already access from Springer and have no Digital Rights Management restrictions in place (this means you can print and email chapters without any restrictions).
The content is searchable via Quicksearch and Search for Library items or alternatively by searching http://springerlink.com directly.
Access is direct on campus. Your GUID is required to view the content off campus.
As the library has made this purchase staff and students can take advantage of the MyCopy feature. This is a feature from Springer which allows our staff and students to purchase copies of eligible Springer titles for Eur 24.95. More details at http://www.springer.com/librarians/e-content/mycopy. The MyCopy link is available from the e-book home page of all eligible titles published since 2005.
