It was a great pleasure to welcome Madeleine Albright, the former US Secretary of State, to the Library when she visited
the Slavonic, Russian and East European collections on Thursday, 9 September, accompanied by the Principal and the Czech Ambassador.
The depth and magnitude of the collections made a deep impression on her. She was here in the University to launch the new PhD Scholarship in Czech Studies.
