We’ve listened to your comments and suggestions about the different ways you study and how you use the Library.
As a result, in consultation with the SRC, we’re introducing a new way of zoning study areas in the building.
We’ve gone for a traffic-light system – red, amber and green. Each colour shows what you can expect on each level, from group study to silent individual study.
We’ve zoned the building so that group study spaces are on the lower levels, and the quietest areas at the top of the building.
You’ll see posters on each level making it really clear what type of study area you’re in, these posters can also be seen by clicking on the links below.
Each zone also has different rules about eating and drinking, and we are introducing maximum PC login times for machines on the green and amber levels. Levels 2-3 are Green zones, Levels 4-7 are quiet study areas, Levels 8 -11 are silent study areas.
We really hope you like these improvements – let us know what you think!
