The header loaded today, 9th March, has been provided courtesy of Jan Zeschky from Vancouver in Canada. Jan has an evocative set of images taken during his time at the University which play with the strong and clear light and weather effects that we have here in Glasgow. The header extract is taken from the image below which, unusually, shows the entire University Library building plus the Kelvindale high-rises and the Campsies in the distance.
The image has been deliberately cropped to focus attention on the Special Collections floor which, although completely different in design and materials, nestles neatly on the top of the Library building, integrating itself within the towers rising around it.
